How Botox works

A small dose, precisely placed
A licensed professional injects a small amount of botulinum toxin into specific facial muscles, such as those that pull the brows together.

The muscle relaxes
The toxin blocks the signal that tells that muscle to contract. With less movement underneath, the skin over it creases less.

It settles over two weeks
The change appears over a few days and settles in about two weeks. Nothing is instant.

It fades, and can be repeated
The effect wears off gradually over a few months as the muscle recovers. Treatment can be repeated if you want to continue.

Only licensed medical professionals may administer it. Who qualifies varies by country.
It relaxes lines caused by movement. It does not add volume or lift, and static lines respond less.
